Pros

Most of the people I work with are genuinely kind, dedicated to providing excellent patient care, and committed to doing the right thing. It’s a positive environment where I enjoy working alongside the vast majority of colleagues every day.

Cons

Ethical standards and organizational policies are not applied consistently. Instances of misconduct — including fraud, harassment, and abuse — have sometimes been overlooked without meaningful consequences, creating a significant cultural issue. Leadership accountability at the executive and board levels appears lacking, contributing to financial instability and a disengaged management structure. Compensation practices do not seem tied to performance outcomes, which has led to widespread disengagement among leadership and providers, ultimately impacting the quality of care the health system aspires to deliver.

Pros

Job is simple and easy to pick up. Coworkers will help you if needed. The company culture does not pit lower-level employees against each other. There's usually an open position in shift leadership to grow into.

Cons

Upper management is rarely present and is obsessed with self-sabotage. There will be a single person who knows how to perform a specific role(because no one else was ever trained on it) and management will find a petty reason to fire that person without having a backup plan. Then they will scramble to fix the issue. The reason there's usually an open position in shift leadership is that turnover is so fast that most shift leads don't last a full year.
