Pros
Unlimited PTO (that you cannot really use due to being short staffed all the time)
Cons
It's a bad sign when a company doesn't backfill open positions with new permanent employees but rather with 3rd party contractors. This is exactly what happened after Upland Software bought the software company I was working for 3 years ago. Urgent issues increased not only in frequency but in how long they remained open. The platform's documentation was already in disarray or lacking substantially and then adding un-trained contractor personnel to the mix was the perfect storm to a downward spiral. Additionally, there were no trainings, no career path initiatives, no 401k match, and finally, after losing our offices , no reimbursement for home internet services. that's right, as of this writing all the employees of this group are working remote, from home, to support this "enterprise" level solution. I have over 30 yrs professional experience and can say that this management team is the worst I've ever worked for. To customers I advise: look for another provider, you may have become accustomed to sub-par performance and hesitant to leave but trust this, it's a sinking ship that is not investing in infrastructure or personnel. To potential applicants: keep looking, you will need very, very bad luck to find a worse company and you will thank me in the long run.
