Pros
Salaries are competitive, office environments are pleasant. An open telecommute policy in some offices leads itself to being a very flexible place to work. Open time off policy, and management encourages you to take time when you can.
Cons
A company that grows by acquisition should have a good way to handle integrations, and a management team that is good at managing remote departments, resources, and varying different technology stacks. That is not what they have. Instead, the upper management is incompetent at best, and actively sabotaging the company at worst. They are employed in a position to primarily work with resources in other offices, but cannot seem to manage to hold a meeting more often than once a month or keep on top of their emails. They actively distrust their own employees, and fail to listen to any of the valid concerns those employees have. They attempt to lead as if they are officers in the military, but unlike officers in the military they have no idea what the people under them are actually supposed to be doing. As a result, they force you to work on increasingly ridiculous integration requests which damage you and your business unit's ability to work. This leads to staff attrition, lost sales, lost customers, and a huge morale problem across even unaffected groups. While they could focus on resolving these issues by moving the toxic upper management into roles where they're not dangerous to the organization and hiring people who might actually be able to do their jobs, that is not what they do. They instead send around representatives from HR or the C-level of the company to remote offices where people are encouraged to vent about their issues, further hurting morale. Instead of walking away from these meetings with action items that the C-level/HR staff take seriously, months later we are informed all of the reforms they intended to make are not going to be made. It feels as if the organization does not want you to do your job, they want you to do some fantasy job they think you should be doing, and they have no interest in what job you actually need to do.
