Benefits and decent pay (now that wages and GEO pay has been increased) Tuition for continued education (but required to remain with Upstate for 2 years after completion of educational program)
Cons
Lack of respect for nurses Poor management Nurse patient: ratios are horrible If working as a floor RN you are required to work every other weekend Not always able to take time off when needed Clicks form with the nursing staff in the majority of departments Can be very difficult to transfer from one unit to another
