Pros

4-10 work weeks are a nice change of pace from your typical 5 day work week. The people in each department (barring upper management) are excellent coworkers.

Cons

New direction from the President and Vice Presidents is failing, they did not take into account previous company culture before tearing everything down and trying to instill a new culture. Micro-managing is ruining the engineering department in particular, and decreasing morale company-wide. Inept middle management that do not know their own manufacturing processes.

Pros

Work autonomously, no micromanaging. Lots of diverse projects to work on. Ability to cross-train with different disciplines/products.

Cons

Because it is an engineering firm, not a manufacturing plant, they do small batch orders. So, there is a constant scramble to figure things out, find equipment, etc.
