Pros

Unlimited CE was nice, I felt like VEG does care about your education and wanting you to become a better doctor.

Cons

As an ER doctor on the floor, it felt like I was the doctor, receptionist, nurse and assistant. They are highly focused on the client experience and there "spikes" and not enough on the health and well being of there staff. We were a 24hr hospital, but constantly understaffed and many of the employees were burnt out from taking extra shifts to keep the hospital open. Mainly the reason I had to leave was because there was no separation from work life and home life. Shifts were longer than 12hrs, multiple meetings a month, constant emails, personal texts or workplace chats. If I muted one group chat, suddenly another would appear. As a full time doctor, there was no time for me outside of work.

Supporting our VEGgies is important to us, so we’re happy our focus on mentorship and education made your experience here even better. We’re sorry to hear this and appreciate your feedback. Balance is crucial for making ER a sustainable career, so this is not the experience we want for our VEGgies. We’re sorry we couldn’t get ahead of this before you left.
