I can't honestly say much at all good about this place. I certainly wasn't treated very well. Working as an Extrusion Operator they run X amount of production lines throughout the day and regardless of the amount of work or lines running they just share them out amongst those that turn up. The turnover of staff was unreal. Our department always appeared to be understaffed and I was forever having extra work just dumped on me and expected to take on other jobs as well as my own. Management didn't care about us, only themselves. HR clearly not very interested in its own staff! Expected to work 12 hours with no breaks. Pretty much a face fitting, "those that matter and those that don't" place. Heaven knows why this place has been glorified; winning all the awards it has because the company isn't worth the ground that it's built on. On reflection, it's probably the worst place that I've worked and the company has one of the lowest approval ratings I think I've ever seen. I quit after 5 months and the one really good thing about Veka is that once you leave you can only go upwards as you certainly can't go any lower.
