Pros

Vynyl has a very diverse and talented team. They work hard to create a culture and make sure employees have buy-in and a voice in each project they work on. The owners care about each employee and they have a focus on quality of both people and work. Everyone from the top down cares about development of the team and encourages them to work on projects that help them grow.

Cons

The office doesn't really match the people and culture. A newer space, downtown would make the company seem more connected to the tech industry.

Pros

Loved the company culture, fun events, and lots of bonuses. Even though the work was remote, I felt close to the employees and management.

Cons

The clients gave little or no expectations, and difficult requirements to understand. Expectations were not managed well by project managers. It was difficult to tell if I was doing a good job without any way to improve until I found out I was off the team.

Pros

Very open and accepting place to work. There are good camaraderie, good hours of work, and lots of room for growth and learning. The management team tends to be very understanding of employee issues (almost to a fault) and receptive to feedback. The health benefits are totally free and really great. Beer fridge for those over 21. Very cool office. Sweet quarterly parties. Helpful (if sometimes delayed) quarterly 1-on-1 reviews. Quickly-growing startup that's done a pretty good job of not over-extending itself.

Cons

Some people with negative attitudes (see those 1-star reviews) are/were allowed to stay on the team for too long due to the understanding nature of the management team and some lack of a clear system of accountability for behavioral issues. That can actually be more of a morale killer than anything else. No employee-sponsored retirement plan (yet). Lacking some structure/policies that could be helpful.
