Pros

None I can think of!

Cons

They throw so much at you in a 2 week period that no one can retain 10% of the training. Then they expect you to be ready to get out of training in a month not 4 months. The 4 month training period is told to you over and over. They also tell you that they are going to help you until you understand the process. That is a LIE! They fired me after 4 weeks. They treat their employees like dirt. I got nothing but a real good lesson about not ever wasting my time again. They appear so caring and then you find out that is just a front!

Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry to hear that your time at Vacations To Go was such a disappointment. We want every new travel counselor to be successful and graduate from training, and do understand it takes time to adjust to selling a new product and working in a new environment. This is exactly why we devote a significant amount of time and resources to training our newest employees. However, during the four-month training period, we do expect new travel counselors to make progress, and we check-in regularly with them to give feedback, answer questions and provide one-on-one coaching. Extra support and training are always available to agents who aren’t thriving or hitting our training benchmarks. In these rare instances, the travel counselor is regularly informed of their standing with the company and are made aware of the requirements they must meet to move beyond training. I am truly sorry your employment with us didn’t work out – it is a loss for everyone involved when we have to part ways, but we are confident that you will find a position that is a great fit for you.

Pros

Ability to work from home, and uncapped commission

Cons

Out of touch responses to any negative review. Rigid adherence to how things have been operating, and unable or unwilling to consider suggestions that would actually improve the relationship between company and agents. Surveys use a non-standard metric, just because it's what Alan wants, despite standard surveys (CSAT/NPS) being available.
