Pros

I’ve been at Vacations To Go for 16 years and I feel lucky that I found this career right out of college. Most people start as a travel agent but there are plenty of career paths to take when you learn the business. I joined the management team over 13 years ago and have enjoyed exciting challenges, promotions, pay raises, bonuses, mentorships and menteeships. Most places you have to jump from job to job to experience just some of these things. A career allows you to experience them all. I also had some family health issues going on and they were absolutely incredible to me through all of it.

Cons

The pay is once a month. Some people find that hard to adjust to. There are things in place to help with that though.

Pros

Ability to work from home, and uncapped commission

Cons

Out of touch responses to any negative review. Rigid adherence to how things have been operating, and unable or unwilling to consider suggestions that would actually improve the relationship between company and agents. Surveys use a non-standard metric, just because it's what Alan wants, despite standard surveys (CSAT/NPS) being available.
