Pros
Meet awesome people, employee housing, a locker right on the mountain, free ski pass to pretty much all of Vail Resort mountains/
Cons
I moved out here for a season and I will say it was a great time, however if I could give advise to someone thinking about moving out here It would: DO NOT GO MOUNTAIN OPERATIONS. instructing pays better and has higher job satisfaction. Mountain ops is generally just labor/menial (shoveling show, standing around outside in the cold, scanning people's passes). In addition, management treats you like you're disposable even though they are usually understaffed. Mountain ops turnover rate is around 85%. Also very limited career opportunities - many people who have been working in mountain ops for years still don't get salary.
