Pros

I really feel like I’m part of Valicy, not just another employee. We go through the highs and lows together, always learning and growing as a team. Leadership is open and makes an effort to teach us about the business and the industry we’re in. It’s exciting to understand what’s happening behind the scenes—what we’re building, the goals we’re chasing, and the challenges we’re overcoming. The founder/CEO host monthly companywide calls to share updates, wins, and even the tough moments, which helps everyone feel connected and informed. We also have monthly company lunches that bring the whole team together—it’s such a great way to build relationships. Another thing I really appreciate is the CARE Team. Not many companies have a department dedicated to supporting employees through every aspect of life, both personal and professional. HR does a great job keeping everyone in the loop about benefits and resources, and the Training & Development team goes above and beyond to help us grow—not just in our careers, but as people too.

Cons

We are in a new phase as we recently sold off the charitable side of the company and are starting new. We have a lot of work ahead of us but is such an exciting time!

Pros

If you are looking for an organization that truly prioritizes its people and their well-being, Valicy stands out. While I am still relatively new in my role and cannot yet speak to long-term tenure, it was evident from my very first interview through the onboarding process that the company places significant emphasis on culture, collaboration, and character. Valicy is intentional about hiring individuals who align with its collaborative and team-oriented values. Technical expertise and industry experience are clearly important, but cultural alignment, humility, and leadership approach appear to carry equal weight in the evaluation process. This commitment helps foster an environment free from ego-driven behaviors, toxic leadership styles, and unnecessary micromanagement. Under Garrett’s leadership as CEO, cultivating a positive and healthy work culture is clearly a strategic priority rather than a slogan. That focus is consistently reflected across the leadership team. The use of personality assessments during onboarding further reinforces the organization’s thoughtful approach to team dynamics and long-term success. In an industry centered on entertainment and engagement, Valicy demonstrates that building an exceptional internal culture is foundational to delivering outstanding external results. Many companies—particularly within gaming—could benefit from adopting a similarly people-first mindset.

Cons

None whatsoever at this time.
