Pros
Most of the employees are great, and the work is rewarding. There is a great opportunity to work in very upscale homes on a fairly consistent basis. Decent access to some specialized equipment.
Cons
The turnover is INCREDIBLY HIGH. In the year that I worked there we turned over about 9 or 10 guys in a company that has at its peak 15 people. The owner is volatile and very demeaning to his employees, there are no HR personnel or procedures so you are essentially at the mercy of this incredibly narcissistic individual.j There is also no chance for advancement, considering the turnover of employees happens at the entry level and "management" is pretty exclusively outside hires and not promoted from within. The owner goes out of his way to trash talk employees after they quit, not realizing the only common denominator in his high turnover is his behavior. On the surface the pay may seem ok, but it is not enough to live in or near hailey. Chances are you will have to commute at least 45 minutes or an hour to get there. So you will be spending probably 20% of your take home on gas plus at least 2 hours of commute a day. Training is nonexistent, while they may send you to the IICRC for certifications occasionally there is a complete lack of standardization and training. Zero SOP's, and because of this there is a lack of consistency in expectations, at any given moment someone may come down on you for doing something another project manager had you do. Seriously, our "safety training" was a 5 minute video with a "demo only" watermark of an actual safety training program. It was EMBARRASSING to sit there with a boss who clearly didn't think our safety was worth paying for the actual product. In summary, there is an incredible lack of communication and training which breeds resentment and apathy in the newer employees when they get punished for doing what they were told. Since the company is privately owned and there is no standardization in any part of the business you can essentially be forced into any amount of overtime or be on call any time they like.
