Pros

The employees are great people despite not being taken care of

Cons

Vioc (or a larger franchise I will not name) bootstraps EVERYTHING. What you will be told in the interview will not be what you get. Promised a shop with a full staff and a tire rotation rack that works, the employees just need direction. What I actually got was a shop severely understaffed with broken machinery and a rotation rack that hasn't worked for years. The employees are just defeated, constantly being called in during off time to help at my shop or other shops due to lack of employees. When requesting a raise you have to certify for specific job duties thru the area manager, the rules of certification are black and white on paper and area managers consistently make they're own rules up for certification for the sole purpose of failing that employee and not giving them the raise they deserve. Could not morally ask my guys for extra any longer with the knowledge they themselves will not get anything extra in return.

Pros

Okay starting pay. Acceptable starting point if you're looking to get into the automotive industry

Cons

Lack of coverage when your shift ends often leading to being forced to stay an hour over at least. None of the locations have any form of AC or other way to cool down except the office sometimes having water bottles, even in heatwaves. The pit is only ever staffed by one person working both or more bays even though there are supposed to be two+ working one each. Managers will not work on the cars themselves but rather immediately run into the office and close the door to play games on their phones after selling the customer $200 worth of service. Policy requiring you help all customers in line even if you're already closed, leading to staying an hour or more past closing. Customers are not required to turn off their vehicles while waiting in line, leading to severe burns from hot oil or hot metal, especially on diesel trucks. Forget about taking time off for vacations or family, stores are intentionally kept understaffed so you have to work or risk getting fired. You are expected to stay late or come in on your days off to do training bookwork despite being consistently scheduled for 10+ hour shifts. 10+ hour shifts in blistering heat with no one offering water from the office or lobby fountain
