Pros

There is definite job security. In 6 years I was never actually evaluated. Teachers and administrators do as they please.

Cons

The culture lures subpar teachers and administrators who stay because they would not last elsewhere. The Board refuses to listen to the community of parents who want change. Enrollment is dwindling as more kids are moving to charter schools for the opportunity of real education. Students have been allowed to behave as they please without any real discipline for over a decade. Constant fights, drugs, sex between students and very little academic desire.

Pros

Great working environment at the schools but horrible at Central Office. Great benefits package. Same schedule as my children was a huge benefit for my family. I never missed any basketball games or soccer matches. Had time to coach in the evenings and on weekends!

Cons

Had issues with supervisor not seeing me the same as all of her other technicians because my position was set in a different location at first. Team members were constantly disrespectful towards me for most of my tenure here.
