Pros

Values are followed at Vanguard especially Care Great leadership Managers truly care about their crew members Excellent career progression opportunities where you can completely switch careers providing you have the core skills to do the role as they are willing to train/ develop you Excellent total compensation package and benefits Growing in Europe which means new opportunities and natural role growth Great autonomy within your role Lots of mentorship and events related to core values Lots of great learning sessions about the business and different areas so you are constantly learning and optional to attend Prove leadership with great and useful training including inclusive hiring to ensure they find and nature the best talent

Cons

Work-life balance could be better - as you are always spread to thin on the ground there isn’t enough hours in the day to get core work done Performance management wise always wanting to do better and for crew to go above and beyond which is great but not when you are struggling to manage the BAU work Ideally a better flexi work option to be offered for crew who do not wish to travel to the office every week ideally would like to see a better option than what has been proposed

Pros

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Cons

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.
