Pros

They give you a lot of food and most co-workers are nice. The operations manager and trainers are very nice and helpful.

Cons

There are so many! To start, management is awful. If you’re doing well, they love you, but when you’re not, they’re not very nice. They play a huge amount of favoritism and you’re screwed if you’re not a favorite. The leads are awful, and it’s an overly glorified call center. You will rarely make the money they brag about and the information the recruiters and trainers give when you start, is nothing like the actual schedule and job. If you’re not working overtime, you’re not making money and management constantly changes their requirements and lead flow. When it comes down to it, management and corporate managers truly don’t care about the work/home-life balance for their employees. Their services are overly priced and they can’t keep quality tutors because they don’t pay well and there is a huge disconnect in the various departments, so the clients suffer and oftentimes don’t stay with the company. If the company doesn’t focus on the customers they have now, they are going to lose money and employees at a higher rate than they already are now. Management can blame the employees all they want, but they set up their employees horribly and then blame them when the company doesn’t perform, which has been consecutively dropping over the last few months. They like to say it’s because of quick growth, but really it’s because of a huge lack of organization from upper management all the way down to the lack of concern for the employees at the sales/client manager position. The sales/client managers are all different in their management style and it becomes confusing when the expectations constantly change.

Pros

The teaching platform is excellent and user-friendly. The virtual classroom includes useful features such as an interactive whiteboard, which makes online teaching effective and engaging. Experienced instructors also have considerable freedom to design their own lessons and adapt materials to students' needs, allowing for high-quality instruction. Payment is processed twice a week, and instructors can easily track their earnings through the platform, which provides transparency and convenience.

Cons

Student cancellations can be challenging, especially when they occur only minutes before class. Some sessions are repeatedly rescheduled and later canceled again, making it difficult to predict income. Policies and procedures may change frequently, requiring instructors to adapt regularly to new guidelines. Work availability can fluctuate significantly. Instructors may have many students during one period and very few later on, particularly when students complete exams or finish their school year. Overall, this can be a good opportunity for supplemental income and flexible teaching experience, but it may not be ideal as a sole or highly predictable source of income.
