Pros
Injection Molding is a growing industry in the US, if you can take the heat (pun) you might get an opportunity to advance and become an expert in injection molding products - this expertise is so desperately needed at this company. You will work with China daily and after hours work.
Cons
Engineering and Manufacturing Managers/Leads are extremely disrespectful of lower level employees and bitter from their own job frustrations that their manufacturing work processes are dysfunctional; Molding, CNC, Assembly functional groups do not work well together, they operate as separate units, each has an excessively high loss rate (30%) per molding project. This companies onboarding doesn't exist - no training provided at all - once hired you are expected to sink or swim and then judged by management. The work environment is oppressive and dictatorial - if you're a creative person don't apply. The plant is in disarray, unclean, unorganized and unmonitored by Management. The legacy molding project work flows, cause friction and mix in with the new projects NPI work flows. Employees are overworked, confused about work processes, lots of errors, lots of unnecessary delays. Employee stress and frustration is high and moral is low. The Manger's play the blame game when things go wrong and take credit for things they didn't do when it goes right. Traffic getting to and from work is "atrocious" and the cost for fuel too.
