A fun, kind company that is working its way through growing pains - VP of Engineering Vecna Robotics Employee Review

Vecna Robotics is a startup that is not hellbent on running people into the ground. There is a long tradition of treating our employees with respect and to talk about things openly with each other. This is the only company that I have worked at in which we regularly talk about the importance of being kind to one another. This something that I have tried to instill to all my team members. Vecna has also provided me with real mentorship and professional development opportunities that have been transformative to me personally. I like the people I work with. I laugh a lot at work -- that is very important to me. I look forward to coming into the office to be with my co-workers, because I know that they are ready to support me (as I am ready to help and support them.) Also, the health benefits are fantastic -- Blue Cross / Blue Shield, no monthly co-pay, the company directly contributes into a flexible spending account to cover the out of pocket expenses. I have family of four and I literally pay nothing for high quality health care. I don't even need to worry about how much (or how little) to contribute in a FSA, because it is not my money.
