Pros
- For the most part co-workers are smart, kind and hard working and this is why it’s hard to leave - They really strive to meet customer needs, customer success comes first - They clearly see needs in the market before others and actively address sooner
Cons
- They need D&I to be taken seriously; look at the leadership page, do you see yourself there? People hire people who look like them so there is a very ‘bro’ culture here and in some areas its so concentrated that it’s uncomfortable to be a woman. Even customers comment on the lack of diversity to leadership - There has been a mass exodus of top performers and while Veeva makes an effort to retain its always too late, too little and by then you are over it; sad really because these people made the company what it is - You’ll sleep when you die. There is no balance, every day is a pressure cooker if you are good at what you do, if you are not good at what you do you are likely pretty happy because expectations are low, they’ll just have a top performer make up for your failings - Pay is well below market & is focused solely on RSUs, which was great if you got in early but pretty meaningless now; when I left I realized I was paid $50k under market value - The products are getting crappy. The technology + UX was slick 5+ years ago and now it’s just tired and filled poorly designed features on a poorly designed platform; customers are starting to grumble as features become harder to configure & harder to use (come on guys, objects are awful to configure, the UX is terrible and features are extremely limited because you continue to use objects without skins to build your features)
