Pros
Great team, many people with good personality, snese of duty, and useful skills. The company is very sexy, great PR and image, nice culture. The team is diverse and inclusive, but not on the too woke end. The best tools for work, good computers, can choose between mac or win platform, company phone for the mandatory on call duty, Almost unlimited home office except for the coworking weeks and events. Wide range of additional beneficts in addition to salary: RSU, cafeteria, sport and education reumbursement (for courses and books), private medical insurance, paid internet bill for home office, etc. Rock solid business sector, resulting in a stable company, there is no economic depression or pandemic that could hit the life sciences industry bad.
Cons
Salary is not competitive in Hungary anymore Recent issues with manpower shortage, resultind in 2-3x workload. because of the large number of recent resignations and failure to hire enough employee. Considering that inflation halved the value of salaries since covid, this meant working 3x work for half the money. Higher management absolutely does not listen to feedbacks. US higher management does not trust the EU management, not listening to their feedbacks, not giving them enough authority to make decisions, and micromanaging them without proper knowledge of the european job market, business sphere and economical situation. As the company changed from a large startup to a multinational corporation, working conditions and comoensation package worsened, even the RSUs worth half od their value since company stocks plummeted. The hotline created for reporting felow employees anonymously created a toxic atmosphere, sometimes resulting in terminating the contract of someone based on fabricated accusations. First and middle management are generally nice and hepful doing their best to create a good atmosphere, and a good and effective team.
