Pros

Downtown Chicago office is a great perk. If you're new to the city, it's a great way to meet people. Overall people are really nice and open. Great starting spot to see if you like sales honestly. Can learn your strengths and weaknesses pretty quickly. If you're willing to serrrrrrrrrriously grind it out, you can make decent money for being early in your sales career. It is a grind, so if your work ethic isn't pretty high... be honest with yourself and keep looking

Cons

Seems like most of the remaining managers were all promoted to lead teams of 10+ reps and associates at the mere ages of their early 20s. Whereas most Sales manager positions require prior leadership experience and/or 10 years of sales experience alone. For most this has been the only job they've ever had aside from probably scooping ice cream just a short 2-5 years prior when they were in college. So give them two years of sales experience for a small mid market territory, then they were promoted to Sales Managers. Very fake it til you make it mentality here. New VP has recognized it, hopefully changes. Lots of talk about career growth, but the reality is you can go from an associate to an account executive. Not much further. They've already noticed the past ways of premature promotion probably wasn't such a good idea. Now you just move up one position, sell the exact same product (despite like 5 acquisitions) for years to come, and just get a higher quota. Not exactly career progression if you're just doing the same thing over and over Sales team in general has moved to this odd environment that seems very disingenuous. If it's simply not your style, you're consistently told to "get off the bus". Essentially the new management's way of saying our way or the highway. Keep asking for feedback quarterly, but when they get it the rebuttal is "well actually you're wrong"
