Pros
It is not always easy to leave a job you are familiar with and start somewhere new, but VEHS (along with my manager, team, and leadership) has made my transition very easy and seamless. The company offers competitive pay, benefits, flexibility, a remote first environment, work from home stipend, summer hours, great teams, and many ways for an employee to become involved through established affinity groups. One of my favorite aspects so far has been the ability to have a quality work-life balance. It is telling of a company when executive leadership sends out correspondence indicating the importance of our overall well-being and to take time off to recharge. Hearing a message like this from the top is so important, especially when mental health is at the top of many discussions today. If you are on the fence about taking an offer with this company, I highly encourage it! You will not be disappointed!
Cons
If I had to list one con it would be the retirement match being too low. In support of this though, VEHS started out as a small company and has continued to grow. A growing company usually has growing perks for its employees and things like this do take time.
