Pros

8-5 schedule No weekends 2019 Christmas Party

Cons

This company is more focused on accumulating other division partners and new clients, that they are losing focus on the business, employees and current clients. Can rarely get anyone on the phone for legitimate concerns (HR complaints, payroll issues, & the never ending, yearly W2 issues). Division presidents are clueless on what is going on within their own company and are so out of touch with reality, it's sickening. One in particular does not know his EEs names. There is a lot of favoritism and hiring unqualified people, just because they want to fill in seats or because they have a friend that needs a job. No one takes responsibility for their errors. All shoutouts, promos, contest winners are for Vensure EEs. Rarely any other division partners EEs get recognized. You cannot wfh anymore unless you are practically dying of a disease. In the years I was within the Vensure divisions, I was given only 2 raises: one for .70 and the other for .52. I was overseeing MULTIPLE job duties due to Covid and the quitting of EEs. I applied for another internal position, due to already having done that position for 1.5 years without compensation, and NO ONE responded from the recruiting team. When I informed a coworker, she then brought it up to the recruiting team. They responded to her with "...oh I'm so sorry. This is appalling..." blah blah blah, but do you think I ever received that apology email, phone call, etc.? No. No one ever apologized directly to me, after MONTHS. I applied for that position in Jan '22. One year, they gave bonuses out and my bonus was SIGNIFICANTLY lower compared to everyone else. Like $200 less. I was very upset. I made a comment on my PERSONAL social media and the next day, I had my boss at the time down my throat. When I made the comment, I did not mention the name of the company (nor did I have any ties to the company in any of my social media) or any EEs names, but yet word "got around" and I was told off because I was speaking facts about my situation? Not to mention, someone had to have seen it (didn't have any coworkers on my social at the time) and relay that information. Lastly, I left because my mental state was in shambles. Showing up to work was a chore. I was super vibrant when I started. I barely wanted to speak the last 6 months because if I did, someone would say, "Oh she's being too loud. She's laughing too loud." I was being consistently watched. You have to have a good reason to take days off. Multiple times, I had to tell bosses personal information because I needed a sick day off; otherwise, I would have it denied. I have seen so many people come and go due to poor mismanagement and treatment. DPs and higher ups laughing and celebrating at the people they get rid of. It's truly disgusting. Even my "exit interview" was non-existent. I didn't receive my exit interview call at the scheduled time. They then tried to notify me when they sent my final paperwork (after my termination) about scheduling a quick call. Absolutely not.

Pros

Great opportunity. They’re seeing large scale organic and growth through M&A leading to more open leadership positions. Great new facilities and office culture (they do require on site work). Great onboarding and training for new hires. I’ve worked with some of the best leaders and saw many move on to better opportunities in the company and with others.

Cons

A lot of changes through org restructuring as they grow quickly.

Pros

Worked with some great people

Cons

One of the biggest cons is the monitoring software, activtrak. every single thing you do on your laptop is recorded. If I wanted to see what one of my employees was doing on a random Wednesday 3 months ago, I could look up the recording of their screen and see everything. Worse, the system is full of bugs and a few times I could see random employees’ screens who I have never met… you’d think that would be a compliance nightmare for a company that runs payroll. They are a “proud work-from-office company,” but they will put you on a PIP if you’re not putting the requisite 7 hours of productive screen time in every single day, so you essentially get penalized for collaboration. Also terrible, over the 5ish years I was at the company, there were reductions in force to improve company profits, but they could still manage to throw their annual $1M+ sales meeting that seemingly only served the purpose of getting their giant sales org together to get hammered in a fun location for a business week. I could go on and on, but the last thing I’ll mention is the nepotism. If you’re in the C-suite, you probably have a kid who is climbing the ranks fast and doing an awful job all the way to the top. They’re also probably the ones leaving all of the 5 star reviews on this platform.
