Corporate Good, Local Not So Good - Leasing Consultant Venterra Realty Employee Review

Corporate and other properties seem great, but I happen to work at a property that is not so great. I was hired before the management of the local complex in Dallas came on board so I was not able to meet and evaluate if the management style would be a fit for me, as well as I for them. It turns out it's not. Management is extremely antisocial, but does turn on the social smile for upper management or important people when they come into the office. Intimidation tactics with the staff, especially maintenance staff, are used and lacks a general friendly atmosphere. Mistakes are a big no-no. If you make a mistake, like I have being new to the industry, there are no conversations with me to correct me, instead corporate meetings with regionals are call (as if it's a repeat offense) and instead of "coaching" there is blame and reprimand. Overall, the morale is low, to the point where every other person who was working at the Dallas property resigned because of leadership and management style.
