Pros

I can not think of anything

Cons

The owners only care about money and growth. Their ads have all this info about training and affiliations, they do not have the knowledge or ability to train their current staff. They are so money hungry and unethical that they stopped serving Medicare/Medicaid children because they did not receive as high of a billing rate as insurance companies. They literally stopped serving the children most in need because it helped their bottom line. Somehow many other companies thrive while serving both clients, but not Nick and Diana, they care more about a new, shiny office than clients, employees, or ethics!

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion. Verbal Beginnings did stop providing Medicaid services in 2016, however, we continued working with families for free until treatment could be successfully transferred to other providers. We are working hard on sharing a successful, balanced business with our employees. The focus of a human service agency is placed first and foremost on the quality of care to our clients and staff satisfaction. We hope that our employees will continue to see that and take advantage of the opportunities they are provided to grow professionally. We provide a Masters cohort with financial support to technicians to become BCBAs, Relias online training, CEUs in-house and online, and are BHCOE accredited. Sincerely, Nick Chappell, co-CEO

Pros

Flexible hour, good if you are a student

Cons

Dont have health coverage but it's not really a con because it's a part-time position and they already stated this when you starting the job.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the flexible hours, especially as a student-friendly aspect of the role. Creating a supportive and flexible environment is important to us, and it’s great to see that reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your understanding regarding benefits for part-time roles, as that is something we strive to communicate clearly during the hiring process. We appreciate your time with Verbal Beginnings and wish you continued success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Full time center hours was the only pro

Cons

Pretty much everything. VB used to be a great company at the forefront of ABA services but they are stuck in 2017 with no interest in getting better. They are the laughing stock of the field now. The company has gotten so corporate and heartless. They only care about money, not about the kids. They reinforce absolutely terrible behavior from staff in order to not have difficult conversations and then deflect blame. They expect the world from employees who are stretched so thin and are begging for help. And if you dare speak up or call these things out, you get labeled as a problem and get forced out one way or another.
