Pros

Clinical Supervisors are very proactive and very supportive.

Cons

So many... MSome of the leadership team lacks people skills and the ability to actually manage processes. They lead you to believe that there’s an “Open Door Policy” but... no one here actually listens to employee feedback. IN FACT, anyone here can confirm that when you speak up, you’re walked out of the door. There is no clear point of contact when policies aren’t being followed or when systems aren’t being implemented correctly. We supposedly had an HR Team but I’ve been told by a former co-worker that the HR Team is pretty much powerless/useless. Missed lunch breaks, lots of talk about “collaboration” during the interview process but supervisors don’t like to collaborate, they just like to delegate and everyone else is just doing what they can to keep a job. The CEOs care about money. So quality is pretty much out of question in a lot of cases. ABATs have the most unorthodox training. Luckily, I’m a fast learner and had a background in this field so I made it work. Upper Management hires anyone to do the things that they can’t or don’t feel like doing. Every wrong decision they make is reflected upon our day-to-day. Pay and benefits... A JOKE — if you have dependents or a spouse, the benefits are terrible. If you want to gain ABA training but aren’t necessarily looking to become a BCBA, do not work here. They dedicate most of their resources to Master’s students and still pay them below market average.

Pros

Flexible hour, good if you are a student

Cons

Dont have health coverage but it's not really a con because it's a part-time position and they already stated this when you starting the job.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the flexible hours, especially as a student-friendly aspect of the role. Creating a supportive and flexible environment is important to us, and it’s great to see that reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your understanding regarding benefits for part-time roles, as that is something we strive to communicate clearly during the hiring process. Pros

Full time center hours was the only pro

Cons

Pretty much everything. VB used to be a great company at the forefront of ABA services but they are stuck in 2017 with no interest in getting better. They are the laughing stock of the field now. The company has gotten so corporate and heartless. They only care about money, not about the kids. They reinforce absolutely terrible behavior from staff in order to not have difficult conversations and then deflect blame. They expect the world from employees who are stretched so thin and are begging for help. And if you dare speak up or call these things out, you get labeled as a problem and get forced out one way or another.
