Pros

Opportunities to learn with CEU events each month.

Cons

Pay was not up par with work load expectations. There is no work life balance. Difficult to get guidance from management when help is needed. The company core values have truly changed from when they first started delivering therapy. They seem to only care about making money at the end of the day (not their employees). While there was support from employees at the same level as you, the management/administration was not supportive.

First, we would like to thank you for your commitment to us for over five years and we are sorry to hear you didn’t feel supported and struggled with work/life balance. We have worked very hard to ensure our employees feel fully supported and have put processes and roles in place to assist with this, to include adding an administrative management position which allows our Clinical Supervisors to focus on clinical work. Additionally, we have an open door policy in which all employees have an informal and formal process for concerns and issues. To assist with work/life balance, our full-time employees accrue paid time off from day one with the company, which they can use at their discretion. If you would like to take advantage of our open door policy now, please email me at n.dunkle@verbalbeginnings and I will be happy to schedule time to discuss your concerns.

Pros

Flexible hour, good if you are a student

Cons

Dont have health coverage but it's not really a con because it's a part-time position and they already stated this when you starting the job.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the flexible hours, especially as a student-friendly aspect of the role. Creating a supportive and flexible environment is important to us, and it’s great to see that reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your understanding regarding benefits for part-time roles, as that is something we strive to communicate clearly during the hiring process. We appreciate your time with Verbal Beginnings and wish you continued success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Full time center hours was the only pro

Cons

Pretty much everything. VB used to be a great company at the forefront of ABA services but they are stuck in 2017 with no interest in getting better. They are the laughing stock of the field now. The company has gotten so corporate and heartless. They only care about money, not about the kids. They reinforce absolutely terrible behavior from staff in order to not have difficult conversations and then deflect blame. They expect the world from employees who are stretched so thin and are begging for help. And if you dare speak up or call these things out, you get labeled as a problem and get forced out one way or another.
