Pros

-Working with the kids -BCBAs are helpful

Cons

-Kids are consistently left under the supervision of employees unfamiliar with each client’s case as well as new hires with no prior ABA experience -Employees are quitting nearly every day, causing schedules to change every hour of the day -Staff are inadequately trained on safety procedures, or not at all -Entry level employees are thrown into the job with barely any training -Some therapists do not treat clients with any sense of dignity, reports to superiors aren’t followed up on due to low staffing -Entry level employees are left feeling unsupported by their team/superiors, even if they have prior experience in this field of work -Upper level staff do nothing to help when you’re having problems besides saying “we’re here for you” -Coworkers on your team can occasionally watch over you and give unsolicited advice when they’re supposed to be working with their own client, leaving a child unsupervised -A work-life balance is preached by higher-ups at the company, but when you ask for help due to an unhealthy work-life balance, nothing is done or you’re retaliated against through more stressful scheduling -Therapists are paid much less here than at other ABA companies, this is why many employees leave

Pros

Flexible hour, good if you are a student

Cons

Dont have health coverage but it's not really a con because it's a part-time position and they already stated this when you starting the job.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the flexible hours, especially as a student-friendly aspect of the role. Creating a supportive and flexible environment is important to us, and it’s great to see that reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your understanding regarding benefits for part-time roles, as that is something we strive to communicate clearly during the hiring process. Pros

Full time center hours was the only pro

Cons

Pretty much everything. VB used to be a great company at the forefront of ABA services but they are stuck in 2017 with no interest in getting better. They are the laughing stock of the field now. The company has gotten so corporate and heartless. They only care about money, not about the kids. They reinforce absolutely terrible behavior from staff in order to not have difficult conversations and then deflect blame. They expect the world from employees who are stretched so thin and are begging for help. And if you dare speak up or call these things out, you get labeled as a problem and get forced out one way or another.
