Pros
Teammates and direct supervisors are nice. Upper management however...
Cons
There are so many things wrong with this company it's hard to choose only a few. Since Valassis was acquired by Harland Clarke Holdings this place went downhill and fast. Make no mistake- this new leadership's goal is to nickle and dime its employees right up to the brink of mutiny. You will be extremely micro-managed and could do a number of great things all year but you will only be measured by the number of mistakes you make and they are so unorganized that you're set up to fail from day one. Turnover is ridiculously high and several people are quitting without even having another job lined up because it's that terrible. There are no advancement opportunities in the Houston location so if you have any sort of ambition, this is not the company for you unless you don't mind moving to the headquarters in Michigan. Also, if you enjoy bonuses in the form of candy and popcorn then you'll love it there because any possible annual raise will barely cover inflation. I urge you to take my advice and look elsewhere unless you are extremely desperate.
