2 Valassis companies calling on same clients - Sales Vericast Employee Review

Valassis acquires companies with existing sales people in place, failing to integrate teams and conduct necessary layoffs at time of acquisition. Instead they crowd the field with sales people who are competing against each other for the same clients' business, eventually getting rid of legacy Valassis reps. Valassis and Valassis Digital are NOT one company. The latter, pre acquisition was Maxpoint and should still be called Maxpoint. They are 2 separate and distinct entities with separate budgets and separate CRMs. My experience was hell on earth with Valassis hiring for an opportunity that didn't exist. I was fortunate enough to recognize the absurdity and brokered an exit plan for myself which Valassis very kindly accepted. There is no doubt that their acquiescence was a consolation for their completely reckless representation of market opportunity.
