Pros
Paid for overtime, decent work life balance
Cons
I was appalled when on my first day of work, I was informed I would not receive a lap top to do work from home when necessary. I was also appalled by the needless complexity and massive inefficiencies inherent to most of their systems and processes. although my hiring took place after the acquisition, it is apparent and obvious every single day spent in the office that employees are angry and disgruntled due to recent changes which include much more stringent attitude toward vacation time, slashing benefits, freeze on promotions raises and hiring but an never ending increase in "responsibility and accountability". It's unreal to me that Valassis would onboard so many talented people looking to start a career, invest so many resources training them and then fail to do anything whatsoever to try to keep them.
