To call this place a swamp is an insults to swamps everywhere. The VFI helpdesk is like a tar pit. Once you're in it, it slowly sucks you down into the black depths, draining you of joy, leaving you an empty, soulless husk of a human. You'll be hired on as a temp agent, then after a terrible, out-dated traing course, you work for up to two years without the benefits of a full hire - meaning no PTO, no 401K, a terrible healthcare package from your temp agency, no opportunity for annual raises, and you'll work any holiday that falls on your regular scheduled shift without receiving overtime or holiday day, while full hires receive double pay, and a full day of holiday pay (essentially payx3). Meanwhile, your skill set will continually increase, but your compensation will not. Nor will the increased skill set impact your chances of being hired on full time. Once you are a full time hire, you will stagnate in your position, as there is no corporate ladder to climb. The company does not practice promoting from within, and the only way to move up into a T3 role is if an existing T3 leaves (highly unlikely) or is fired (even more unlikely). The pay for a full hire is better, and holidays can make bank, but good luck actually using the PTO you'll accrue, as they likely will not approve of taking anything off if it's more than a day or two. Most of the people who know anything will leave after a couple of years, leaving the dregs to be relied upon. The training program and materials are dangerously out dated, and there's no push to get accurate material. most released product is learned on the fly without reliable supporting documentation, and the majority of bug fixes are never fully resolved, just patched through any number of subsequent releases. The helpdesk supervisory team and management is terrible. Help desk supers have zero knowledge of support, and are really more like people managers - and they don't even do that well. Most of them just sit like empty shells behind their desk, avoiding contact whenever possible with their subordinates. There will be one supe that runs most of the floor, and she runs things like a prison camp, meddling and micromanaging every single aspect of how the desk runs. The management position is a revolving door for incompetent buffoons and corporate shills.

Hybrid schedule Great product International company with a somewhat flat structure

Cons

Favoritism and nepotism run deep in this company. If you are on the outs, it is harder to advance in the company. Zero culture, no celebrations/recognition/ERGs. You don't feel valued or part of something larger than you.
