Pros

it's a google company. opportunities abound even though some projects seem a bit nebulous.

Cons

need to focus on finding "doers" not just the template of people with a perfect resume but lack of ideas or drive. some managers seem like they have not managed people before. we lose employees bc the pay for entry level is below what a living wage is in SF. No one will stay at 90k a year.

Pros

Good compensation and nice coworkers

Cons

It’s like leadership is trying to be as stereotypically corporate-nasty and sketchy as possible. (For fun, maybe? Hope you’re having fun in your dark gray blazers.) The company feels very unstable from the inside and morale has completely tanked. There’s also a highly uncomfortable obsession and dependence on office presence. They begrudgingly give two remote days, for now, but the work you do isn’t as important as “looking busy” and performance optics in the office. I just can’t recommend Verily as a place of work, unless you’re desperate or have an unexpectedly brilliant long-term plan to make it work for your career?
