Pros

1. A very high-quality group of researchers and artificial intelligence. 2. Very good people and pleasant to work with. 3. Comfortable and attentive leadership for employees. 4. The salary conditions are the same as for Google employees, except for the shares (you get Verily's Company Options instead).

Cons

Receiving Varily's Company Options instead of Google's shares is, on the one hand, a source of certain uncertainty in the total compensation, and on the other hand, a higher profit potential.

Pros

Good compensation and nice coworkers

Cons

It’s like leadership is trying to be as stereotypically corporate-nasty and sketchy as possible. (For fun, maybe? Hope you’re having fun in your dark gray blazers.) The company feels very unstable from the inside and morale has completely tanked. There’s also a highly uncomfortable obsession and dependence on office presence. They begrudgingly give two remote days, for now, but the work you do isn’t as important as “looking busy” and performance optics in the office. I just can’t recommend Verily as a place of work, unless you’re desperate or have an unexpectedly brilliant long-term plan to make it work for your career?
