Pros

Working level people are good and dedicated, there is a solid foundation of revenue in the Communications division

Cons

There is an extreme lack of direction in the company. Management touted the book "Good to Great" as a model, but immediately diverged from the path by hiring all executives for the Communications Division from outside of the company. These new executives had no idea what the business was, and took it in a direction that was totally based on an EVP's ego and desire to hang with hip hop artists. Poor communication from management and a desire to mix things up rather than listen to the good ideas of employees led to significant attrition. There was no coordination between business units, often resulting in competition and significant silos within company. In the end, the product line lacked focus and was a mile wide and inch deep.
