Pros

Work/life balance is acceptable, but shifting to more work less life Fairly supportive of remote work

Cons

Generally poor compensation compared to other companies New CEO and Presidents are both from financial disciplines, and months after they were put into place the company started doing wide scale layoffs Generally poor merit increases, almost never come near inflation and real raises are difficult to come by Often seem to act in direct opposition to feedback given in focus groups There appears to be a lot of cronyism, with high performing employees getting overlooked for promotions in favor of those who are friends with the right people General company focus has shifted noticeably from supporting and providing a good experience to customers to supporting shareholders

Pros

I have been a product manager at several companies, and it is genuinely one of the best environments I have worked in. Verisk provides a unique opportunity to work closely with customers, engineering, design, and leadership to solve meaningful problems and deliver products that create business value. Product managers are trusted to help shape strategy and influence key decisions. Teams collaborate effectively, and there is a shared commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for customers. Leadership is approachable and receptive to new ideas, creating an environment where innovation is encouraged.

Cons

Navigating insurance regulatory requirements and customer compliance can occasionally slow feature development and release timelines.
