Pros

Benefits are amazing. PTO accrual is fantastic. Health care, dental and vision is affordable. The different types of cultures and background are what makes this place fun, and what has kept me here for so long. Verisys is like a family, and we stick with each other through thick and thin.

Cons

Management has its ups and downs. Sometimes you'll catch a supervisor on a good day, but you'll mostly catch them on a bad day. One supervisor in particular should never have been made supervisor, extremely incompetent and has the most antipersonal demeanor about him. Arrogant and not friendly, yet is a favorite so nothing is done. The amount of broken promises and lies is out of control. In the amount of time some employees have been here (including myself) there have been no bonuses or incentives given to keep us as employees. Management just expects you to show up, do your job and leave. But they make sure to give bonuses to their favorites. This place used to be fun; fun meetings, games, ability to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. But now, it has the feeling of a sweatshop. The broken promises con is disastrous. If you apply for a position, and believe me everyone will apply for it even if they aren't remotely qualified, you will be promised that another position in a different department will open. They never do. Management will wait a few months in hopes that you forget about it. This destroys any morale and any initiative employees have.

Pros

In my department, we had very flexible schedules and were not terribly micromanaged. You get lots of PTO and holidays, and the benefits package is pretty good.

Cons

Lack of transparency, and downright lies from upper management. The pay is severely lacking for the work you do if you aren't in a role that gives incentive bonus. All levels of management are secretive and will stab you in the back if it will benefit them. There is not much team development or work culture with almost everyone working remotely.
