On the corporate side, they have a very good culture and a great team that all pulls in the same direction. In the shop and operations side we build some of the most unique and signature structural bridges all across the U.S. so the work we do is very high profile. I really think for the most part there is good culture in both the corporate side and in the shop. Company puts in effort to promote the positive culture with family day at the shops which have been a real hit.
Cons
Not really many cons working in corporate.
Culture is good in both shop and corporate, but the cultures are vastly different. Not necessarily in a bad way by any means, but you can sense a clear disconnect.
In operations and the shop there are sometimes struggles. The VP of operations, despite his intensions and overall good nature, can be a difficult personality to work with. It seems he struggles to keep underlying managers and HR personnel on staff. I have seen him verbally "undressing" staff in open, and it is pretty off putting. Conversations like that should be held privately.
They promise a lot before finding ways not to pay you the bonuses. Good place to write your resume as your career tanks.
Cons
Worst managed plant I have ever worked at. Most people in administration and management do not last more than a year, before they are fired or quit. Ask for the turnover rate of managers before signing anything.
