Toxic, abusive company culture. No formal training process for new hires; they throw you to the wolves immediately. Overly convoluted systems that break constantly; you have to be a genius (or work extra hours) to succeed here. Highly corporatized structure, meaning the managers don't listen to their employees' needs & concerns because they are under constant pressure to placate their directors above. Insane turnover rate; most people move on from Veritiv within a year, and I've heard from several ex-coworkers that working at Veritiv was bad for their health. Longterm outlook in doubt as the stock valuation continues to plummet, with Veritiv currently going through a consolidation phase and eliminating many positions/shutting down many locations. I never met a single coworker who ever said a positive word about the CEO. It probably didn't help that the CEO installed her 30-year-old niece as one of the managers in our office.
