Pros

• Technical Sales Engineer Veritiv Corp. January 2018 – April 2020 when Covid-19 hit. Sold Packaging & assembly Equipment, Robotics, and shrink wrappers, shrink bundlers, with Allen Bradley HMI’s & ABB to the food, beverage, pharmaceutical industries for both pet & human uses, and manufacturing facilities in NE, IA, SD.  Increased my sales volume over my predecessor over 132% year over year. Grew my own year over year sales volume by a documented 81.3%. $1.2 million dollars in sales was required y/o/y, I generated $1.8 million dollars in my first year and over $ 3.4 inside the first 3 quarters of 2019.

Cons

The need to use a rental car for weekly travel took time away from family time!

Pros

Incredible benefit options and immediate vesting of 401k contributions. Company is very stable and has no true competitors. Great people and office with a fun culture. Huge opportunity to make an impact.

Cons

Internal systems have been seriously neglected and were not a priority for many years. Therefore, for new IT teams, the scope of work is very large, but salaries and total comp are on the low end of industry averages.
