Pros

Really good pay and benefits. Everyone around me has the same job title so we all get along. Also receive a decent amount of paid vacation.

Cons

They keep trying to add duties onto my already crowded job title. I was hired to do tech support for the company. Recently they decided that they really want us to up-sell more products and services. I am not a sales person, never have been, but the company wants to put so much emphasis on selling and making more money and ignoring fixing the current technical issues with the service that it makes you want to pull your hair out. The company really comes off as a company that only cares about making money, everything else is secondary. We also don't seem to learn about new updates to our equipment or software until the day before they implement it then expect us to act to the customer as if we had weeks of training on the new updates. Also the work shifts kind of stink. I was hired over 4 years ago to work the 4pm-12am shift with the guarantee that within a year I would be on daylight. Here it is 4 years later and I am still working the same shift with no end in sight. We are also contractually obligated to work every other weekend no question. This makes it hard to have a social life when you only have every other weekend off and random days in between. Makes me feel like I live on a deserted island, socially that is.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
