Pros
You will be compensated well. I made 33K in year 1, 37K in year 2, and 41K in year3, and was set for 45K for the last. You will also gain valuable skills / experience, they have lots of training during different weeks. There is a lot of time off (2 weeks paid, and 1 week of Unpaid from the beginning). When hired, they provide 7 weeks of paid training. They also reimburse your tuition for approved course/ degrees. I know a lot of people that got their A+, Comptia, certifications and went for MBAs, all paid for by Verizon. They have excellent 401K matching, and during my time there, would match up to 6% of your contributions.
Cons
Stats. You are measured for survey scores, number of calls handled, number of device fixes / warranties issued, and the 3 day repeat (when people call back). You live and die by the stats- if you are good, you will have no problem. If you aren't, you will struggle.
