Pros

At the retail level, it's completely dependent on who is that your store. When I first started, I was at the highest grossing retail location in my region. We wrote Verizon records. So being in the sales environment there was amazing. However, after transferring, I saw that the rest of Rose it is not like that particular store. They used to have a lot of incentives and benefits but they have eliminated all of that now

Cons

Money, management, coworkers, no advancement. When I first started with Verizon I was working at the retail level. I was making a lot of money and was very high on all score cards. However, Verizon has decided they don't want to pay their best sales people anymore. Rather than value and reward the employees that are making them the most money, they would rather make it impossible through commission restructures for us to survive. I'm leaving Verizon knowing that I have been completely taken advantage of and used by this company.

Pros

Verizon is a fast paced, AI-driven and network-centric environment

Cons

There are many silos of responsibility given how large this company is.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
