Pros

Strong 401k, great healthcare package. A lot of paid time off (but you'll need it) Gained valuable work experience. In my particular case I had flexible time off - But that depends on what field you're in.

Cons

Leadership no longer listens to front line employees. They make major changes, they fail almost every time, and then thank YOU for "making it a success". They preach that everybody can provide critical feedback without fear of retaliation or consequences, but reality is they want you to be a Yes man. If you're not you will be outside of the circle. Politics are heavier than ever. Highly talented, qualified, and deserving employees are passed up for on promotions because of the boss's buddy. (And I am not talking about me, so make no mistake this is not a bitter former employee review. This is truth) Over the many years true leadership has become practically non-existent. Most Customer Service reps burn all of their paid time off at start of year because of job stress.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
