Pros

Decent pay, Depending on area decent traffic, commission is back to individual, great staff, benefits, technology improvements for sales, data updates, well detailed sales insights. What really sucks, I had a great experience at Verizon overall amazing company until I deployed, got diagnosed with PTSD and Anxiety disorder had to take STD leave, ran out of days and was forced back to work although I wasn’t ready and had to let it go at least for a while to get my life under control while moving states. I wanted to transfer but was not giving those options

Cons

Overworked, Heavy/Annoying pressure to force a sale that isn’t there, won’t be rehired if you take STD Leave, not a fan of Sedgwick, micromanagement sometimes, retail schedules aren’t for everyone, no part-time anymore, claims to be military friendly won’t rehire me for STD leave post deployment, wouldn’t let me transfer to my new state which forced me to resign (waited 6 months) won’t be rehired. No disciplinary actions, good performance, never late etc. It hurt but now I’m moving forward. Do better in the future Verizon, I really enjoyed working for you all

Pros

Highly collaborative environment, opportunity to do impactful work.

Cons

Unless you're a permanent employee, you're likely to get laid off for more economical reasons.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
