Pros
VIP is a fast-paced company where hard work and commitment to the company/customer is expected and rewarded. It is not an easy place to work, especially not at first. However, there are a ton of benefits, particularly for those who are willing to stick it out. Promoting from within is the rule, rather than the exception. Cons
There are challenges. If you don't want to work hard, you will not be recognized. The leadership can feel old-school at times and has been known to stick their foots in their mouths and cause some frustration. The "working in the office together" culture is valued incredibly highly as VIP strives to be a Vermont-based company. There isn't a lot of WFH flexibility. There is constant change, which is the price of steady growth and a healthy retirement long term. There are inter-departmental tribalism which can be a true test of patience. The training programs are lacking. Working at VIP means learning how to figure out how things on your own/with your team more often than not. VIP is not for everyone.
