YIKES.... a lot to say here. 1) Starting pay is $35-37k in a DC suburb! Absolutely ridiculous for the work that we do and provide to the clients. Being in charge of protecting million dollar equipment, this amount of money is way too low and the high level employees simply do not care. 2) The management team is awful. Employees were called entitled for asking for a cost of living raise... one of the managers is allowed to fall asleep on shift and pass incomplete work onto the next shift with no disciplinary action undertaken by the boss. Also left work for an 1.5 hours due to forgetting to leave a key behind and leaving someone locked out of house. Again, no disciplinary action done. 3) Promotions are based on favoritism. Most recent promotions were given to less tenured individuals who had prior to the promotion played baseball in the office with a tennis ball, drank alcohol on shift while working from home during COVID-19, searched different sex toys on work computers, left desk unattended for hours and at times did not make required phone calls. The reasoning for the promotion is how great of "leaders" they are, but based off the actions performed I'm not sure how you could draw that conclusion. I guess when you have higher level employees who are allowed to fall asleep on shift, this isn't a surprise. Overall, inappropriate behavior is what is promoted here and there is no chance for upward mobility unless you are lucky enough to be "more liked" than others. 4) There is no time and a half pay for overtime over 40 hours per week or if you exceed 8 hours in a day. You will work 12 hour shifts and when understaffed will work 5-6 12's in a row. Former employees worked 50 plus straight days of 12's in 2018.. hardly worth it given the compensation.
