Pros

The initial couple of years was great when business was good meriting a solid 4 out of 5 in my early days. A lot of perks and some of the coworkers are the best people I've worked with.

Cons

Not a competitive salary compared to the industry. What started as a "great place to work" took a big turn when the mortgage industry hit a rough patch. Back when things were booming, the company went on a hiring spree. But when the market started to struggle, instead of laying people off in one go, they began focusing a lot on performance. It felt like they were pushing people out, and the vibe at work changed completely. Employees frequently talked about it. Suddenly, you were left wondering if your desk would be the next one to clear out. They kept saying they wanted to keep people who really 'fit the culture,' So, after that, meetings with managers became more frequent, and there was absolutely no room for slip-ups. The place turned competitive in a way that just didn't feel right, and it's tough for me to say this. Normally, people get why layoffs happen, especially when times are tough. But by zeroing in on numbers and performance and people this way, there's an increase in stress and morale to go down. It's currently an instable work environment. Even some of the best folks got pushed out, who indeed, fit the culture. Again, some of the best people I've worked with! It's unfortunate.

Pros

Paid time off is given on day one and goes up again at 1 and 5 years. Lots of personal growth opportunities and events for the whole family. Flexible schedule in some departments. Free coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks. Caring environment, where everyone is treated fairly. Very loose dress code, no need to dress up every day!

Cons

Some non production positions should be paid more. Health benefits are ok but I've had better at other companies. Some positions can be very stressful.
