Pros

The work is challenging in a way that’s motivating, not draining. You’re surrounded by incredibly smart, thoughtful people who push the quality of work higher every day. Via’s growth stage creates limitless opportunity to take ownership, learn quickly, and have real influence. There’s a strong sense of purpose in the work that comes from building transportation products to genuinely improve how cities operate and how people experience transit.

Cons

Because the company is growing quickly, priorities can shift and long days are sometimes unavoidable. The pace can feel intense, especially when balancing multiple workstreams at once. Processes are still evolving, which can require comfort with ambiguity and change.

Pros

Incredibly supportive management. Extremely healthy work environment. Company culture is top notch. Benefits are well above market average. Using PTO is encouraged, and when on PTO general duties are handled by supportive coworkers.

Cons

Extremely fast-paced environment. Real-time issues can arise, and can be stressful to resolve. Remote work can feel isolating, however, managers and coworkers are extremely easy to reach.

Pros

Most people you work with are nice, PTO is respected.

Cons

No strategy to speak of, the product is not good other than the acquisitions. Customers are treated poorly. C-suite is extremely tone deaf. Decisions come randomly from above with no bearing on what people are doing. There is no review cycle on purpose, the only people who get raises have other offers so many people are leaving. Which is a good idea because the stock price is down so all RSUs are underwater. Most teams are horribly overworked and underpaid and the one day a week lunch is getting worse.
